Lake Fork bass fishing reports and pictures from Lake Fork guide Andrew Grills
Allan and I had a great time fishing together! Numbers weren’t all that great but we had some nice quality. Looking forward to next time!
of 3 day trip with brothers Bob and Denny from Ohio, and what a day it was! 4 fish boated that weighed over 7lbs, personal bests for both, and Bob’s first bass on an artificial lure (which was his biggest ever)! Looking forward to two more days of our Lake Fork trophy hunt.
What an incredible day with Jody and His brother Wes! We only caught 6 bass all day, but they trusted me enough to keep fishing for big fish. It paid off big time when Wes boated an 11lb 2oz beauty! That was the biggest bass of his life. We put a couple more big ones in the boat as well.
Below is another good one from the other day I didn’t get to post.
Great day with one of my favorite customers! James was a fishing buddy of mine before I started guiding and every time we get together it’s treat for me. We boated a good number of fish today and lost a few, two were big. James had the Kracken on for a few seconds
Also, those of you who knew I was having some minor health problems, thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Felt almost 100% today.
Here are some fish from today. I was careful not to post two pictures of the same fish.
We had some nice fish the last couple days! Lots of fish have moved up shallow and there are still some big fish staging on their way in. It looks like a good week ahead with some consistent temperatures.
All of the fish we have been catching are from the shore down to about 12′ deep. Here are some of the fish from the last couple trips.
Another good day on Lake Fork… My customer Frank shattered his old personal best record a couple times today! It was tough to catch them, but it paid off. I’m still targeting prespawn females as they stage up prior to spawning.
Another successful trip on Lake Fork! Fishing was tough early on and at lunch time we hadn’t boated a single fish. However, Wes and Clay kept morale high with one joke after another! The lake came back to life for us in the afternoon and we boated several fish up to 9lbs.
The bass have been a little difficult to pattern lately. The lake level coming up like it has, muddy water, and an enormous amount of fishing pressure in the areas of the lake with clearer water haven’t helped. But, big bass are still out there to be caught! That’s the beauty of fishing Lake Fork, a bad day can turn around in a hurry…
What fun day with Luke and Josh! These Ohio boys didn’t know what to think when they got to experience the quality of bass Lake Fork has to offer! Josh put on a clinic, breaking his personal best several times and topping it off with a 9.3 lb big bass.
The bass are in prespawn mode and making their way to spawning areas. More fish are moving in on a daily basis. Here are some of the nice fish we boated today.
We had a good time on Lake Fork today! Randy and Phil have fished with me before and it’s always like fishing with old friends when they come around. We didn’t whack ’em like we had hoped to but we managed to catch a few nice bass. I’m looking forward to some sunshine… It seems like a month since we’ve seen it!
After getting some much needed rain Lake Fork is now 3.85′ low and rising! The muddy runoff has made for challenging conditions but we still had a great time fishing today.
After all of the ice and snow, some normal weather will bring the big ones up! Today was a fun trip with some young men from Minnesota. While we didn’t catch giant bass like Lake Fork is famous for, we did put some quality fish in the boat. I’m looking forward to seeing them again!
